The Buddy System at FHNW
ESN FHNW believes that the buddy system is the best way to welcome and introduce exchange students to the student life at FHNW. By having a buddy, the exchange students benefit the most from what the university and Switzerland has to offer. We want to make sure that every incoming student is welcomed with open arms, guided throughout their time here and simply has the adventure of a lifetime.
How do I become a Buddy?
If you are a student at FHNW and are interested in meeting new people from different cultures you are in the right place. Being a buddy can be a wonderful way to make new friends from all over the world, learn about new cultures and maybe even a new language. If you are interested in making the experience of an exchange student the best one possible, sign up using the form underneath to register as a buddy.
We will get in touch with you as soon as we have found a suitable exchange student. Our goal is to do these matches as soon as possible as the beginning of the term is mostly the most challenging time for an exchange student.
Registration
Twice a year the international office of the different faculties sends an email to all students of the FHNW to make you aware how you can get involved and support international students by becoming a buddy. These emails will usually be sent during January for the spring semester and during August for the fall semester.
